The software displays your network parameters on the main screen. A few words should be mentioned about internal and external IP addresses and monitoring settings.

GetNetworkInfo displays your internal and external IP. Internal IP is the IP address that is assigned by your router or a cable modem. This IP is only visible within your local network. External IP is the IP address assigned to your cable modem by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). This IP address is exposed to the internet. External IP address is other words is an unique identifier of your computer on the network assigned by your internet service provider. Internal IP address is an unique identifier assigned to your computer within your local network.

GetNetworkInfo allows you to track changes of your external IP address. You may check your external IP automatically every N minutes and compare it to the old value of the IP address. If the IP has changed, a popup message or sound alarm may be used as a notification. Below is a screen shot of the "Settings" dialog.
